Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Pairousel, you agree to these Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy, and our Community Guidelines. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years old to use Pairousel.
• By using the service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.
• If we learn that a user is under 18, their account will be terminated immediately.

3. Account Registration

• You may sign in using Google or Facebook OAuth through Firebase Authentication, or browse anonymously with limited functionality.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and all activity that occurs under it.
• You agree to provide accurate profile information and not impersonate any other person.
• One account per person. Do not create multiple accounts to circumvent bans or restrictions.

4. User Conduct

You agree to follow our Community Guidelines at all times. In addition, you agree not to:

• Use Pairousel for any unlawful purpose or to solicit illegal activity.
• Harass, abuse, threaten, or intimidate other users.
• Post or transmit spam, advertisements, or unsolicited promotional content.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users’ accounts or Pairousel’s systems.
• Use bots, scrapers, or automated tools to interact with the service.
• Interfere with or disrupt the service or its infrastructure.

5. Content Ownership & License

• You retain ownership of the content you create and share on Pairousel (messages, photos, profile information).
• By posting content, you grant Pairousel a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute that content solely for the purpose of operating and providing the service.
• This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except where copies have been shared with other users or are retained for legal compliance.
• You represent that you have the rights to any content you share and that it does not violate the rights of any third party.

6. Video & Audio Calls

• Video and audio calls use WebRTC peer-to-peer technology. Streams are transmitted directly between users, not through Pairousel’s servers.
• Pairousel does not provide built-in call recording. When disclosed and enabled, random Match sessions may use limited, ephemeral image-frame safety analysis to detect prohibited conduct. Pairousel may also process session metadata, reports, screenshots or other evidence submitted through safety features, and related safety signals.
• Routine automated adult-content frame analysis is not used for Connections or Locked In calls. Reports, relevant messages, account and session metadata, and lawfully submitted evidence may still be reviewed for abuse, illegal content, threats, exploitation, or policy violations.
• You agree not to independently record, screenshot, or redistribute another user’s video or audio without their explicit consent. This restriction does not prevent Pairousel’s disclosed in-product safety processing.
• Match: Random video matches are intended for general adult social conversation. Nudity, sexually explicit conduct, and commercial sexual solicitation are prohibited.
• Connections and Lock-In: Private or paid interaction features remain subject to Pairousel’s consent, verification, prohibited-content, reporting, moderation, payout-hold, and enforcement controls.
• Adult-oriented private or creator features, if enabled, are available only through approved, opt-in, 18+ verified workflows and only after Pairousel enables the required payment, payout, identity, age-assurance, moderation, and recordkeeping controls.

7. Content Moderation & Enforcement

• Pairousel owns and enforces platform rules for user content, creator activity, paid interactions, and account eligibility.
• Pairousel uses a combination of automated systems (AI-based text and image analysis) and user reports to enforce community standards.
• Violations are handled through a strike system: warnings, temporary account locks, and permanent bans depending on severity.
• If your account receives a strike, you will be notified with details about the violation.
• You may appeal moderation decisions. Appeals are reviewed by an admin who may examine the flagged content.
• Flagged content evidence is targeted for short retention (for example ~14 days) and is handled according to active moderation-retention controls.
• Severe violations (CSAM, credible threats of violence) result in immediate permanent bans and may be reported to law enforcement.

8. Payments and Creator Monetization

• Pairousel can operate without paid features, creator payments, or creator payouts enabled.
• If paid features are enabled, subscription terms, pricing, platform fees, cancellation terms, and refund information will be shown before purchase.
• If payment processing is enabled, card and billing processing will be handled by the payment provider presented at checkout, and Pairousel will not store full payment card numbers.
• Creator monetization is not available until the creator completes required identity, age, tax, payout, compliance, and platform eligibility checks.
• Creator monetization and payouts, when enabled, are also governed by the Creator Terms.
• Refunds, cancellations, and billing disputes are handled according to the Refund Policy.
• You are responsible for any applicable taxes associated with purchases or creator earnings where required by law.

9. Privacy

Your use of Pairousel is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your personal information. By using Pairousel, you consent to the practices described in the Privacy Policy.

10. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

• Pairousel is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
• We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
• Pairousel is responsible for operating and enforcing its platform rules, but cannot guarantee the conduct, content, or actions of every user on or off the platform.
• To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pairousel shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service.
• You use Pairousel at your own risk. Exercise caution when interacting with strangers online, including during video calls.

11. Account Termination

• You may delete your account at any time through your account settings.
• Pairousel reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, the Community Guidelines, or applicable law.
• Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately. Content you shared with other users may persist in their conversations.
• Pairousel may retain certain data as required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., enforcement history).

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we make changes, we will revise the date at the bottom of this page. Continued use of Pairousel after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. For material changes, we may notify you through the service.
